Two figures at the top. One form through the body. The point where they meet is the point where distinction stops mattering.
The Embrace does not depict a moment of contact. It depicts what happens after — when two things have been close enough long enough that the boundary between them becomes a question neither one is asking anymore.
The purpleheart darkens toward the base. What begins as warmth at the top becomes something heavier by the time it reaches the ground. That is also accurate.

The Embrace required a material that already understood what it was being asked to do. Purpleheart carries that depth of color without stain, without intervention. The two figures at the top are not clearly separated — I worked until the boundary between them became ambiguous, until you could not say where one ended and the other began. That was the technical challenge and the point. The wave through the body below is not stylistic. It is what happens to a form when it carries something it does not want to put down.
