Hand-finished bronze, marble plinth

N° 003 / 019
When pressure becomes unbearable, the mind searches for exits. The body simply widens its stance.
The Counteraction is not a figure fighting. It is a figure absorbing. The spine curves in the ancient intelligence of survival: give the force somewhere to go, and it passes through you rather than breaking you.
The walnut holds light the way skin holds memory. It stands on bronze and marble because endurance deserves a foundation that does not apologize for its weight.

The Counteraction came from watching a man brace against something invisible. Legs wide, body low, spine curling inward while something above kept rising regardless. I held that image for two years. The walnut was the right choice — it holds heat differently than the others. It made the figure feel less like resistance and more like endurance. The bronze-marble plinth came last: something ancient and composed, holding something that is barely holding itself together.
